Wine Gate Design

I sketched this gate design up back in 2004 on a piece of scrap paper in my shop. Over time, it sort of became lost and forgotten. Lately, I have been experimenting with gate designs in PhotoShop, so today, I thought it would be interesting to remove the gate design from the paper's yellow ruled background and add a little color to it utilizing the paint brush tools by tracing over my original pencil sketch.
Working with a photo of my friend's entry to her estate and vineyard, I removed the existing gate and placed my gate design into the photo - complete with shadowing.
While not perfect, the mock-ups I have been creating place the gate design at the actual point of installation, and will allow the client to better visualize how their new automated gate might look, prior to beginning site work or fabrication.
